CreditXpert expertise, with ISC doing the work

CreditXpert is a mortgage credit optimization platform that uses predictive analytics and simulation tools to model potential credit score outcomes and identify paths toward a target score. ISC adds a hands-on service layer: instead of asking your team to learn another platform, your ISC support team runs the simulation for you.

ISC has more than 20 years of experience working with CreditXpert. That experience matters when a file is close to qualifying, a pricing threshold is in reach, or you need to compare several possible credit actions before deciding what to pursue.

Typical turnaround: Most CreditXpert simulation requests are completed by ISC in about 30 minutes. Turnaround can vary based on file complexity and the scenarios being reviewed.

How the ISC CreditXpert process works

1

Tell us the goal

Let your ISC support team know the target score, qualifying threshold, pricing goal, or credit scenario you want to evaluate.

2

ISC runs the CreditXpert simulation

Our team uses the borrower's mortgage credit data to model eligible what-if scenarios and review projected score outcomes.

3

We review the results with you

Your ISC support team helps explain the projected outcomes so you can compare potential options and decide what, if anything, is worth pursuing.

4

Take the appropriate next step

If the borrower completes an eligible action and acceptable documentation is available, ISC can help determine whether a Rapid Rescore or another credit-report update is appropriate.

What a CreditXpert simulation can help evaluate

Depending on the borrower's credit profile and the scenarios supported by the platform, CreditXpert can help model the potential effect of specific credit changes before money is spent on bureau rescore requests.

Balances

Revolving balance changes

Model how eligible changes to reported revolving balances or utilization may affect the projected mortgage credit score.

Targets

Target-score scenarios

Evaluate potential paths toward a specific score threshold used for qualification, pricing, or a loan-program requirement.

What-if

Specific credit scenarios

Compare supported what-if scenarios to see which documented changes may have the strongest projected impact on the file.

Planning

Rescore planning

Use projected results to help decide whether an eligible credit change may be worth pursuing before bureau rescore fees are incurred.

Credit simulation and Rapid Rescore are different

These two services work well together, but they do different jobs.

CreditXpert simulation
Estimates potential score outcomes
Helps compare possible scenarios
Does not change bureau data
Results are projections, not guarantees
Rapid Rescore
Submits eligible verified updates for bureau review
Requires acceptable documentation
Rapid rescore turnaround is often 1 to 5 business days, with a 24-hour rush available
Results and timing are not guaranteed and depend on documentation and bureau processing

The simulation helps you evaluate potential options first. If the borrower completes an eligible action and the required documentation is available, a Rapid Rescore may then be used to submit the verified change for bureau review.

What CreditXpert simulation does not do

  • It does not guarantee a score increase. Projected outcomes are estimates and the actual score depends on the borrower's full credit profile and the scoring model in use.
  • It does not directly change bureau data. Any credit-report update must follow the applicable creditor, repository, and documentation process.
  • It does not replace required documentation. A projected scenario is not proof that an account has changed.
  • It is not consumer credit repair. ISC provides mortgage credit simulation support to mortgage professionals as part of the lending workflow.
Current scoring-model note: ISC's current CreditXpert simulation service is used with Classic FICO mortgage score workflows. VantageScore 4.0 and FICO 10T simulations are not currently offered through ISC's simulation tools. Availability may change as vendor platforms evolve.
